Problem with alt. text in v1.3?

I've been using v1.2 to create web galleries - worked a treat. Entered metdata in Library mode - and in web mode it showed as alt text when viewed in browser - and when uploaded to site.
Installed v1.3 - did exactly the same thing with the metadata - only now it shows as '(nil)' both in web preview and when uploaded to a site. Anybody else having a problem - or am I doing something wrong?

The web galleries for 1.3 were given an overhaul. You may have to reset the tokens to have the metadata you what to show when you check 'Title' and 'Caption' in a Gallery Template.

Thanks for the info. When you say reset the tokens do you mean delete the text etc. and retype it in?

No, in Web check that under Image Detail Title and Caption are checked. Also that each Custom Settings/Edit... shows that the correct token for what filled in Metadata to be used is 'Title' and 'Caption' appropriately. You can also use these choices to display other or additional metadata.

Nope!

Re-loaded V1.2 works fine for alt text. Took a screen shot of the settings - reloaded v1.3. Tried same settings - still shows as (nil) in alt text.
I'm sticking with version 1.2.
Anybody else has the same problem - or knows of a solution I'd be very interested in the info.

Having the same issue - Alt tags in gallery say "Nil"

Robert and I traded emails - he's still having the problem. And I am as well.

Can someone let me know what value normally goes into the Alt tag, IE, what piece(s) of data is Lightroom using to build the alt tags (which I have never seen, so I don't know).

Im curious now. What metadata field were you using in order to enter text that would appear as alt text in a browser?

Hi RipIt

In v1.2 - library mode - I am completing - 'caption' text for each photo. So you can have different 'alt' text for each photo depending on what you've put in the caption box.
In web mode for each photo I have 'caption' and 'title' both ticked.
The title settings in web mode are custom text > custom text.
In caption options in web mode it is set to custom settings then 'caption' and 'custom text' in the large white box at the top.
This shows the 'alt' text fine in version 1.2 - version 1.3 & v1.3.1 it shows 'alt' text whenever you hover over a photo - but always says 'nil'. It may be that my settings for 'title' are unnecessary for alt text - it's just the way I have the machine set uo.

Checking the HTML that was generated pre 1.3, alt text was using the caption field. Regenerating the same with 1.3.1, the HTML has alt="nil". It looks like we lost something along the way.

I've logged this as a bug.
