Problem mporting images directly from disk

In the last 24 hours, Lightroom will only bring up the dialog box for importing from the memory card, when I want to import from disk (my normal practice). I have clicked under the file command 'Import Photos from Disk'.

Advice would be much appreciated, as i am in the process of importing a large number of images into Lightroom.

(I use Windows Vista)

I also have done that. When the IMPORT button is clicked it gives you an "import navigation dialog box". Just navigate to the location then click on a folder (this is the quickest) and then another button on the lower right hand side "import all photos in the selected folder" becomes active, press that and ALL photos in the folder will be imported.
I find that importing folders on the disk rather than images is the quickest and best way.

Welcome Flamenco, there have been some reported issues with 2.4, importing and Windows/Vista but nothing like what you report.You have tried restarting LR and your PC?
