Printing with equal borders

I've been trying to print to an 8.5" x 11" paper with equal left and right borders without any luck. Each time the print comes out the border on one side is larger than the other. I've tried choosing A4 borderless and non borderless in the Setup dialog (left pane in the Print module), and setting the left/right border to .2' in the Print Layout panel. This is after cropping the photo to 8 x 1' and 8.5 x 11 in the Develop module. How do I print with equal borders from LR 2.6?

I also can't figure out how to print a borderless 8.5 x 11. The borders are set to ' in the layout panel, but the prints always have borders.

Most comsumer grade printers have a non printable edge - top, bottom, left & right. Usually the top and bottom is different and often the paper will not align so that the left and right edege are exact. Borderless only prints to the edge of the printable area of the printer. Check you printer documentation for minimum border. Software like MS Word takes this printable area into consideration and will not let you set margins that take you outside of the printable area.

Oh, and one other thing, A4 is a metric paper size 8.5"X11" is Americal old system.

Thanks Cletus. Changing the setting to Letter size from A4 got me printing with equal borders even though the margins are all set to '. I did read somewhere that the MP98' supported borderless printing up to 8.5 x 11.
I did know about the A4 as being a metric size. It's just that I didn't see a 8.5 x 11 option in the print setup, and I also thought the letter option was for regular letter paper.
I'll just keep trying to figure out how I can print borderless 8.5 x 11s.

Previously I was choosing A4 (borderless) in the Print dialogue > Paper Handling > Destination Paper Size. It's when I changed it to US Letter (borderless) that I finally got to print borderless 8.5 x 11. Both the "Scale to fit paper size" and "Scale down only" in the print dialog have ticks. I don't remember if one, both or none were chosen when I kept trying the A4 setting though, my memory is not all that great at times.
Maximize Size in Template Browser, all the Margins set to ' in the Layout panel along with 8.5 H and 11.' W Cell Sizes in inches.
I can't confirm if these exact settings were used, one of my printer inks have run out and they will take a while for them to arrive.
