Printing from Lightroom 2 not good

Ok so I just got my first decent printer (Epson stylus P5') and when I am printing from Lightroom I turn off the ICM in my epson properties and set in Lightroom color management profile to other > tried many profiles including all RGB. Still I am getting stupid prints from what I see on screen.

What can I do about this? Do I need a certain profile or one I do not have?

Your profile should match the paper and printer. If you are using Epson Paper, select the Epson profile matching that paper. If you are using non-Epson paper, you should attempt to find a profile that matches that paper.

Also, how are you calibrating your screen, as what you're seeing on screen may not be accurate.

I didn't see a profile in other > for the p5' but now I do :S and the prints are a million times better so thanks.

I don't have anything specific for calibration just make sure I abide by this http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/viewing.html , can you suggest anything better? I run duel screens and ones a seems a bit more bleached out than the other and cant find a solution to it.

I would suggest you invest in a hardware calibration product (eg Spyder Express) for your display because without it you will never get accurate colours.

Besides color management issues, use Qimage for printing. The results (detail, interpolation, sharpness) are much better than with Lightroom.
