I'm using LR2.6 and whenever I try to print to file multiple photos I don't get the jpg option under "save as type". It only says "Supported Files" without saying ("jpg").

HOWEVER, I get this option when individually printing to file.

Can anyone explain to me how to print multiple photos to file?

Welcome to the forums Shirley!

This is because, when you are printing multiple images to JPEG from the print module, the dialog is asking you for a folder name into which to put the images. Folders do not have a file type (extension) and that is why the dialog reads "supported files" instead of a list of file formats.

AFAIK, the only format available currently in the print dialog is JPEG and you will end up with a folder named like you named it, "Test" for example, and within it will be all your individual JPEG files named Test-1, Test-2, etc.

WOW!!! This has stumped me for 3 weeks, and SUCH a simple solution. Simply insert a file name in the box that SAYS File Name, and that will be applied to each photo, eh voila!!! :-[ Talk about feelng stupid!!! I guess the fact that it didn't show the jpg option for multiple photos when it did for individual photos became my point of focus and my usual method of trying different things just went kaput.

Thank you SOO much!

So, since it creates a folder and files with the same name, is there someway to have the files have a different name so that it's clear what file is what (I'm uploading a bunch of photos to Shutterfly after a group cruise) in case anyone wants me to email them a specific file? I mean, without having to rename the files AFTER, that is (you know - save a step).
