Print takes two clicks; first one lost (OS X)

I'd search the forum for this but not sure how to phrase it.

With 2.1 and still in 2.2, whenever I print from LR, 95% of the time the first print goes into la-la land (i.e. - nothing happens). I do the same print operaton again - and the print happens.

This is with a 38'' on Ethernet and a 14'' on USB - so I half suspect it must be something between OS X and LR. On the first click, I hear the processor cooling fans rev up - get a message that the image is being rendered, but it never makes it to the printer. Same sounds/messages on second click, but the print happens.

The 38'' has printer firmware v o'''573, network firmware v1.'1
The 14'' is only about 3 months old - Using QTR as the print-driver with Piezeography inkset, so the Epson driver is out of the picture for this one.

That's a weird problem Harrzack! I wonder if anyone else has seen that.

First thing, repair permissions.
Then.....
One thing to try is set up a new (temporary) user, login as the new user, set up a new catalog and do your print thing.
If it still fails then you are looking at a system wide issue, if not it is user specific.
Let us know what happens.

Harrzack, I print to an epson 788' over ethernet, and had to same problem (I think),
before you print, open the print settings panel, lower left in the print mod and create a custom preset and save, open print, lower right and select the preset you created, hope this works for you. this is from a G5, os1'.4.11 lr 2.2
