print module not working

If you do not have a printer installed on your PC,will the small print preview in the upper left corner of Lightroom 2.2 module display your photo?thx Tess

Tess, the preview panel is not intended to show an actual print preview, it's to show a layout preview, based on the print template you've chosen, or are browsing. As such, it's just some boxes and lines showing where the photos will appear. The center display is the actual print preview.

If you haven't seen this already, slide your mouse over the various default templates under Lightroom Templates in the template browser, left hand panel, and watch the layouts change in th preview window.

OK...I think I understand what you're saying but no photo is displayed (small preview)no matter what print template I choose and when my old printer(which died) was told to print I got a "grey" print...no picture....

Thx Brad ..you jogged my memory about the print module....I was confused because the other modules will show you a preview in this small box.Now hopefully when I install my new printer I won't get a grey sheet of paper.Thx so much,I feel somewhat releived,Tess
