I am new to Lightroom 2.2 and hope you could help.

I created an User Template which has two 2.5" x 3.5" images on a borderless 4x6 with tab.

I added two different images to the page. I verified I had the Zoom to Fill OFF, Print Resolution and Print Sharpening OFF, Color Management Profile set to managed by printer.

Two issues
1) Both images printed full width 4" and 2.75" Height
2) Boh images seemed to be ZOOM to FIT

Any thoughts?

Welcome, to help us help you could you please take a moment to fill in your signature in the "userCP' that is found in the nav-bar at the top left of the page - thanks.
You should be seeing exactly what you get in the print module window, what did you see?? Maybe you could post a screen shot of the print module set up.

Try turning off borderless printing in the printer driver(Page Setup). It sounds like the driver is doing what you told it to(print borderless) and stretching your images.

Hi all

I think I fixed the issue. Let me give you some description of my Printer Setup to help explain. Note this desktop is Vista SP1

Printer is a HP C818'. What I found is very strange. There are actually two different Print Properties. If you select File Print Settings, you get a typical Print Setup box. Here I cahnge the following;

Printing Shortcuts - Borderless 4x6 tab, PhotoTray, HP Premium Photo Paper, Best, Portrait, HP RLT OFF.

Color Tab - Print in color, Color Management is default at ColorSmart/sRGB (changed to Adobe RGB (1998)

From Control Panel Printers - Printing Preferences gives you the above. Selected Properties as follows;

Advanced - Turned OFF Enable Advanced Print Features
Color Management - Device Printer, Use my Settings for this device, Profile Setting Automatic, My ICC Profiles are Adobe RGB (1998) D65 WP2.2 Gamma and sRGB IEC61966-2.1

LIGHTROOM SETTINGS
Image Settings - nothing selected
Layout Cell Size 2.5 x 3.5
Print Job - Print Resolution OFF (printer is 6''ppi), SHARPENING off, Color Management Profile selected Adobe RGB (1998) D65 WP2.2 Gamma, Rendering Relative

OUTCOME - Matched the image on the LCD HP VP17 monitor fairly well.

I do not believ that I can turn off the color profile in the HP C818' printer but matching the profiles made a difference. As for filling the full 4" width, I found the cell was 2.5 x 3.8" maybe that was it.

The scary part is that I am somewhat familiar with the settings in the printer properties and I have friends who are also more of a ProConsumer than I and they had trouble following the logic behind the profiles being set correctly.

Join the club Rich! There are so many combinations of printers and drivers and operating systems out there, I don't think many people manage to work out the logic! I certainly haven't!

But welcome aboard, and thanks for posting back with your results!
