Pricing policy on education upgrades

[Dale Keiger]

Good evening. I bought LR 1.4 through the education store (I'm a college student and teacher, both), for the quite reasonable price of $99. Now that LR 2 is out, I'd love to upgrade. But I can't find any education pricing for the upgrade. I'm just offered the $99 upgrade price, which basically means I'll be doing the equivalent of buying 2.' new, not at an upgrade rate. Can anyone give me a clue, here? Thank you.

Dale

You'd have to ask Adobe for an official answer, but I think you're right -- the upgrade price lines up with the academic price. $99 is still a good price!

Yep, there are no 'academic upgrades' for any Adobe product that I know of - you either buy a normal upgrade or a full academic version.

I suspect you're right. Seems odd to me, but there you go. I'll be watching the forums (fora?) closely to see if it's worth buying the whole package anew. I did not buy 1.4 all that long ago, though, of course, long enough that I don't qualify for any sort of free upgrade. Just my luck. Thanks Mark and Victoria.
