Previous and Current Import not showing images

Hi,

I just posted this over on Flickr and it was suggested I come and try my question here.

Basically I Import a batch of images, and while the process is happening they don't appear in the "Current Import" collection, and when the Import is finished and LR2 is just sitting there idle nothing appears in the "Previous Import" collection either.

I don't think there are any filters etc. applied. This is how it looks just after an Import has finished - link.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why the images won't appear in the right place? Has anyone seen this before?

Hi Aidan, welcome to the forum!

That's a weird one! Just try starting a new catalog and importing into that new catalog - that'll help narrow down what's going wrong.

I tried creating a new catalog and no luck - still no images appearing during and after the import in the correct collections :(

I might try reinstalling LR?

Aidan, Welcome to LR Forums.

Are you starting with LR2.', or have you used any of the earlier 1.x versions, or perhaps the LR2 Beta?

The reason I ask is, your most recent post has your new signature, and no offense intended, but that looks like a very borderline system to be running LR on, performance wise. In addition, there has been at least one bug identified which is specific to AMD CPUs.

I used I think 1.4 a longgg time ago as a trial, and I do accept that it is a rather slow machine - it's being upgraded piecemeal fashion so there might have been a complete reinstall since then. I honestly can't remember.

It does seem to be running at a reasonable pace though despite its obvious drawbacks ;)
