Preview images lost

After a break of a few days imported new images from camera, downloads seemed to go OK but now cannot see any images - none of my existing ones or the new ones. For this import used "copy to new location as DNG" with preview medium quality.
Get messages like "loading from previews" and "rendering larger previews" but no pictures just grey blocks.

Catalog seems fine. Have tried without success:
  • opening back-up,
  • deleting .lrdata on the basis that LR will rebuild it on reopen,
  • reboot
  • Loading catalog from laptop and re-rendering
Since last successful use of LR:
  • Added 2 Gbt memory,
  • Updated colour profile with Spyder 2.2

Check your monitor profile. It may be corrupt.

Break out that Spyder and try again.

Great stuff - another profile works fine. Hadn't realised LR was so touchy - all other programs worked fine,
