post-crop vignette blending mode

Hi, I've already posted at http://www.adobeforums.com/, so if this is disallowed, please delete this one.

I'm hugely disappointed at the blending mode of the post-crop vignette... and a little surprised that there's not more of an outcry about it.

I thought this tool would offer the same effect as the "lens-correction" vignette, only to find some kind of black/white mask applied on top of the photo (not a nice effect).

I've put in a bug report/feature request, but are there not more users who need this feature?

I'd definitely like to see it changed to the same effect as the "lens correction" vignette.

Medoomi, Welcome to LR Forums.

Yes, many folks are not well satisfied with that tool. I'm sure it's on Adobe's 'to-do' list, but you're taking the right steps, in complaining politely, and making the official feature request.


The only things we try to keep 'out of bounds' here are Adobe's business policies, and useless 'flame wars'.

Rally other users to file bug reports/feature requests as well. You've hit the official channels, and I'm sure Adobe's aware of the issue, just a matter of where it fits priority-wise.

Yeah, I've been campaigning for that one for a while too, so join the club! The more people who put in Official Feature Request/Bug Report Forms, the higher up the priority list it's likely to move.

Same, The only way I can get close to an effect I like is putting the amount to lik 75 + the midpoint quite far out and the feathering at 85 + the you get something that look more like a curve based vignette. Its odd that they made it this way...
