My webgalleries created in LR appear with jagged edges, and resolution quality is poor when viewed on different laptop pc's with smaller screens (13"-17").
On my Mac G5 Intel / 24" monitor there is no issue.

Examples:

When creating the galleries, I have used both "7'" and "9'" quality settings.

Can anyone explain what may be the root cause, or has anyone had a similar experience?

Thanks in advance fo any insight you may be able to provide!

Thomas

They look ok here Thomas. Could you perhaps post a screenshot to show what you're seeing? Is it always the same browser?

Welcome to the forum!

Thomas,

Look good here on WinXP also:

Safari 3.1
Opera 9.5
IE7

19" LCDs and 19" CRT, all at 128'*1'24

(I remember someone else with a similar issue, a couple of months ago, I'll see if I can find the thread.)

Images also look find here, Mac OS X / Firefox 3.

Depending on what gallery template you're using, it could be a scaling issue. For example, if you're using SimpleViewer with large images on a smaller resolution screen, the gallery may be scaling the images down to accommodate your screen dimensions. This often results in jaggy images. I know that the LR Flash template attempts to remedy this problem by producing three renditions of the images at different sizes. I'm not sure whether there's any additional scale applied beyond this.

Nice images, by the way.

I have also experienced this problem...None of the monitors I have access to show the problem....I used to make galleries using Bridge...I guess I have to go back to that...:-(
