Pointer Splits into 2 and/or 4 smaller parts ....

Have Windows 7 Pro; and installed Lightroom 2 then immediately upgraded to 2.6. However, in Develop Module, when I adjust the size of my brush with bracket keys, when I go larger, the brush breaks into two overlapping brush circles. When I downsize the brush, it breaks into 4 small parts in a linear pattern. The brush, when then reverted back to a cursor, continues to stay broken up in a linear pattern of four small distorted pointers. Anyone else experience this? Is this a lightroom issue or Windows 7 Pro? I've already uninstalled and re-installed Lightroom to no avail.

Hi Gemini, welcome to the forum!

Sounds like it could be a graphics card driver issue. It should be 2 circles, one inside the other. What graphics card are you running?

Thanks for your response, Victoria ... a colleague of mine suggested the same thing ... a graphics card issue. I understand the brush is supposed to be one inside another, but that's not what I'm referring to when describing my problem. Graphics Card is Nvidia GeForce Go 615'. And I understand Graphics Card cannot be updated on laptops....

Try updating the driver then. Seems like that is the most likely solution.
