I am sure I saw a plug-in the other day when I was searching, that allows you to add a comment to a photo which does not then form part of the data attached to the photo. Now I just can't find it. Does anyone know what I am talking about, and can point me in the right direction ?
Thanks very much.

You may be thinking of John Beardsworth's "BigNote"
Big Note – Lightroom Solutions
but I am not sure what you mean by- "does not then form part of the data attached to the photo. " Metadata in the LR catalog will only be added to an image by exporting with metadata, or saving the metadata to the file.

Thanks very much - that's the one. I don't think I was using the correct terminology, but whatever I write in that field will not be exported , so it will work for what I want it for.
