From the Plug-in Exchange I have downloaded two plug-ins (Focus Beauty Builder and Seim-Effects-bw-presets-1.'). In Lightroom Plug-in manager, I click Add and choose the downloaded plug-in, but get this message: An error occurred while attempting to load this plug-in. Any idea why plug-ins don't install?

Hi Bent, welcome to the forum!

Did those plug-ins come as zipped files, and if so, have you unzipped them? (Ok, probably a silly question, I will admit!)

Did the website offer different Mac and Windows versions, and did you get the right one?

Where on your hard drive are the plugins before you try to install them?

Are you Mac or PC based?

That'll get us started!

Hi Victoria & thanks for your reply!

Well, you got me thinking. I thought plug-ins could be installed by choosing File/Plug-in Manager/Add and then navigate to the downloaded file. This didn't work.
What did work was going in Develop mode/Presets and creating new preset folder choosing Import and navigate to downloaded plug-in.

Now it works thanks to your inspiration. Does Lightroom_help contain this procedure?
:)
