I have tried just about everything I could find on every forum related to getting droplets to work. I'm using Vista, cs3 and lightroom. On export, photoshop opens but no action is applied. All actions work as expected in cs3. I've shortened the destination command line to c:\A folder, I'm at a loss here.

Sorry, I can't help you, someone more versed in droplets will have to.

Meanwhile could please fill in your signature with OS, System and Gear to better help you down the line. See How To Write Your Signature Specs for help in that.

Welcome to LR Forums,

Don

Here's the link with all the instructions http://www.victoriabampton.com/lightroom/droplets.htm

Can you talk us through exactly what steps your action uses, and also maybe a screenshot of your create droplet dialog?

And does the droplet work if you just drop files directly onto it rather than using it as an export action? That will help determine whether it's a problem with the droplet or with LR, and then we can hopefully figure out how to fix it.

I had this same problem in Win XP but my guess is it will apply to Vista as well. Check the below link. Seems if you have upgraded from CS2 To CS3 there are CS2 items still in the registry, and when you place a droplet in the Lightroom actions folder it will open CS3 and stop. Solution is to change these items in registry from cs2 to cs3. Make sure you backup the registry before you start. If you read through this link carefully, I believe there are only 3 items to change. Before I saw this I edited over 5' lines in the registry changing cs2 to cs3 in each case. It worked for me.

Another issue you will run into, the droplet executes the action on folder of say, 2' pictures and it works fine. Now try 1'' pictures and the droplet fails to execute. I have reported this bug to Adobe and there is not a clear cut answer to this as of now.
