While working on an image ... or viewing images ... every now and then, for a half ssecond, the picture will drop out and refresh. What could be happening. Never had this before. On an iMac , Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 Gig memory, running 1'.5.7.
Help, please.

Welcome to the forum jackperk.

It may be regenerating the full preview. How frequent is it? Does it happen on images you just imported or on folders that have been around a while? Does it happen when zooming in or any time?

Hi jack, welcome to the forum!

That's a really weird problem - I haven't heard of that either. Does the whole windows black out, or just the image? Where are the images stored?

Hello All,

I too have a similar issue with the image "refreshing" after import back from Nik Silver & Color Efex Pro plug ins. The image disappears for a brief moment and reappears, this anomaly persists even after shut down and re start. The interval between occurrences can sometimes be several minutes and occurs both in develop and print modules; however, this event does not happen with all images processed in these plug ins. Images processed in LR or CS3 are stable.

Thanks.

Martyn

I have also seen this a few times. I think it has always been in the develop module, after a fair amount of use of the adjustment brush. The image becomes completely gray, both the main large version and also the thumbnail in the filmstrip (all other thumbnails are OK though). It just hangs there, so the only solution for me have been to close LR, which works just fine, and re-open it. The image comes up with all the latest adjustment, so everything seems to be OK. Apparently it's only a display-problem for me. So far I've blamed my old and slow computer.

Erro, if you're still on 2.2, as your profile suggests, update to 2.4. There was a memory leak in 2.2 that would cause those symptoms.
