I usually use "Survey" mode (N) when culling a large shoot. Pull in 6 images, pick ones I like, select next 6 etc... Obviously I've not done a cull like this since Lr. 12 as it appears that in Survey, if I do a (P)ick on one photo - ALL the photos selected in Survey get picked instead of the "Most Selected"! Even if I go into (E) loop and (P)ick from there all the photos in Survey get picked. This also happens if you apply a rating - it applies it to ALL the photos in the Survey instead of the "Most Selected".

This is definitely a change in behavior - which I'd consider a bug. I don't know if Adobe would or not. I just noticed it today in 12.1 and backed down to 12.01 and 12.0 and they all do the same thing. This is on a MacBook Pro, 14-inch, 2021 on Monterey 12.6.2.

Does the Windows version behave the same? Maybe I missed the memo on a change in behavior somewhere. :(

In my LR 12.1 / Mac OS, when I type P in Survey or Loupe view, only the most-selected (current) photo gets the pick flag, even when Selected Photos is selected in the Metadata panel. Next steps:

1. Do you have Auto Sync turned on at the bottom of the right column of Library?

If so, turn it off.

2. Try resetting LR's preferences:

*DING* *DING* *DING* WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!

Auto-Sync was the culprit! Flipped it to Sync and it's working again!

THANK YOU!!! You just saved me a LOT of time!
