Picasa / Flickr / Lightroom 2.1

Hello,

This is a bit off the normal topics, but I am looking at online galleries and am curious as to integrating the Lightroom workflow with either Picasa or Flickr. I will be using Lightroom for organization and management of images. Any experience, thoughts or preferences?

I use Jeffrey Friedl's Export to Flickr plugin, and it works really well. You can set permissions, make sets, and add photos to sets from within the plugin. You can also save export presets with different settings for different purposes. You could try it out with a free Flickr account to see how you like it.

I don't really use Picasa, so I can't really compare it to Flickr. I occasionally post blog pics straight to Picasa because I use Blogger. MarsEdit makes using Flickr pics pretty easy though, and I already had a Flickr Pro account.

I use Jeffrey Friedl's Export-to-Picasa plugin, and it works beautifully!

Can't give a comparison to the plugin for Flickr since I haven't used Flickr, but there seems to be ample satisfaction with both out there among users.

Picasa, Flikr, Facebook Plugins??

OK, here comes Stuu Pid, "Don't Taze me Bro!"

I've downloaded the above plugins, installed and registered, now how do I use them? When I go to export, there are no options for the plugins?

Mike, what are you seeing in the export menu??
Did you load them into the correct place?? Maybe you would like to fill in your signature so we know what system you are using and hence answer you more accurately. Thanks.

When you go to the export menu, there is a panel at the top of the dialog box that probably says Files on Disk. If you click on it, a list pops down and you should see your export plugins there. If you don't see them there, check the plugin manager to make sure that they are enabled.
