Photos appear as negative/over saturated image

Today reloaded Lightroom after doing some work on my computer. I have done this before with no problems. This time however all of my photos in Lightroom 2.3 appear as negative/over saturated images. I've exported one and it's true color, so it's just within Lightroom that I've got the problem. I have reinstalled 2 times and to no avail, each time I open it up, it's the same thing. I've got a screen shot here so you can see what I mean. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

Step, welcome to the forums. Weird symptoms like these tend to relate to wrong/corrupt monitor profiles. Have a look at the histogram in Develop module, the main portion of the chart should be a nice white/neutral gray; if it's not, that's a dead giveaway.

When you say the export looks OK, what application are you viewing that with?

OS, CPU details? Do you do a hardware display calibration?

Here is a picture of the histogram. What do you mean by corrupt monitor files?
I was viewing my exports with Window/fax viewer.

Hardware display calibration? I use a Huey if that is what you're referring to....

Huey, yes, that's what I meant.
I don't see the typical color cast in the histogram that's a symptom of profile corruption.
When I say corruption, I mean that Lr has a reputation of being an excellent 'stress tester' of monitor profiles. If there's an error in the profile, Lr will find it. Typically, this is more applicable to the so-called 'canned' profiles furnished by the monitor mfg'r, but can also occur in home-rolled hardware base profiles, like the Huey. Sometimes the colorimetric gadget/puck/sensor goes bad.

The issue here is that Lr is color managed, and Windows/Fax viewer is not. The respective results we're seeing may imply that your current Huey profile is somehow how corrupt. Can you rerun the Huey calibration? As a temporary experiment, you may want to try assigning a generic sRGB profile to your monitor. While not technically correct, it may help diagnose the problem.

I can't believe it was that simple! I calibrated my monitor just before all this happened. I ruled out the huey being the problem at the beginning. I just recalibrate and presto- my images are back to their true color!
