Two different things lately came with promotional offers for Adobe, a recent hard disk came with 4 months, I think my GPU came with a month (though it is not specific that I can find).

Anyone have any luck trying to add these to an existing plan, or is this just a hook for new subscribers? (No I don't want to cancel, use these, then re-up, who knows how messed up that would end up).

It's hardly a huge deal, but $40 in one case, some similar amount in the other, better than just throwing it away.

Hints?

See if you can find any T&C blurb for them, but I suspect it's probably for new accounts. Best way to get a bargain price is to look out for Amazon discounts on the subscription cards that just extend your existing expiry date.

Nothing on the paperwork that came with, I'll have to try to register the product to get whatever code they give and see there. Though I'm sure that with registering I'll get spam or have to provide lots of personal info, blood sample, etc.

So one offer (from the ASUS/NVidia GPU, which was quite expensive) was for 1 month free of Creative Cloud (the whole thing), and specifically did say it can be added to existing subscriptions. But since I have the photography plan it seems likely to get me screwed up, and I really have no interest. Trying to figure out how to actually get to the other offers (from a Western Digital external drive of which I bought two).

But was interested that the other was explicit that it allowed combining with existing subscriptions.

FYI. Those Amazon deals are typically for US citizens only.

I don't doubt it, but it was interesting that Victoria called it out. I wonder if she has had any success in the UK with an Amazon sale price.

Maybe. I've never seen it in Canada.

I was wrong, the other two were Seagate drives, and I got far enough to redeem the product. It took me to adobe, auto-entered a code, I hit enter it said it was "active". The below image is all I could find about details.

But when i go view my account I see no changes.

So either it did nothing, or potentially I'll get 4 free months, which for a $139 (+/-) 5TB drive is a nice deal. Nothing is what I expect.

The Amazon prepaid deals certainly do work in the UK. I have very recently upgraded from 6.14 Perpetual Lightroom to the Photography Plan. I took advantage of 2 months free as a Flickr Pro account holder and then successfully redeemed a 12 month prepaid subscription purchased from Amazon UK at £89.99, so 14 months in total.

Why does Canada seem to get left out of these types of deals? I do feel for our neighbors to the north.

It's so cold the internet cables freeze and the cell tower microwaves turn into sun dogs so we can't get any deals. :coldfeet:

The only very good deal I got I think was in 2006. I was trying to purchase CS2 and I told Adobe a was a student. I was taking some night classes in at a local place called The Prairie View School of Photography. I didn't expect it and they give it to me right away. Half off.
