Photo "too big" to import?

I stitched together 7 jpegs in autostitch, and now I'd like to bring the complete pano into lightroom - the import process errors out after I execute the import dialog box. I get an error message that "some files are too big to import."

What gives?

A current limit of 1',''' pixels on a side. THis is because ACR has been limited to that and the main pipeline for LR is the same code.

to see them in LR for tracking (DAM) purposes make a smaller place holder jpeg (less than 1'K Pixels) and import that. You can Cmd/Ctl-R the thumbnail an dLR will take you to the file and the Pano if it is next to it in a Directory.

I may also just crop it to 1'K px on the long side . .
