I am curious about the designations (box) that appear in the lower right corner of JPEG images imported into LR6. When right clicking on the box a list of operations appear. One of the operations is "Develop Settings". Further clicking on "Develop Settings" opens up "reset". Does clicking on "reset" remove all previous development adjustments made to the image?

Yes it does. It's a shorter way to do exactly that (the right-click menu is like a shortcut menu)

Quicker way to reset (so remove all the Develop changes you made) is to use the keyboard shortcut of Ctrl Shift R (Mac Cmd Shift R)
