People and Landscape masking not working In iMac 2o20 intel

Since upgrading LRc to 15.3 the people masking and landscape masking has stopped working. I here tell that this is now a processor issue and the latest masking will not work with Intel processors in my iMac 27" 2020 Tahoe 26.3. I am therefore considering going for Mac Mini M4 but I cannot confirm for definite that this is the problem. Spent an hour on the phone yesterday to Adobe who could neither deny or confirm the question. Any ideas please before I spend another shed load of money?

In a similar episode in 2024, Adobe posted that they had identified the issue as a bug in the AMD driver, and users would have to wait on AMD and Apple:

But I agree with Cletus that this issue is likely very low priority for AMD, Apple, and Adobe, given the impending demise of support for the old Intel/AMD hardware.

I agree with Clee that this is more likely a GPU issue, not an issue with your Intel CPU.

Your Intel iMac is obsolete in Apple's eyes There will be no further MacOS update that support intel. If your iMac has thr AMD GPU, the the bug is found in MacOS v26.3 and later. Rolling back to MacOS to v26.2 will not encounter this bug. As John Ellis says, it is unlikely that AMD or Apple will devote resources to address this bug in obsolete hardware.

If you are contemplating a computer upgrade, I would suggest to wait until the Fall when Apple releases MacOS27 and new hardware models.
