Hi to all
I want to say that i like lightroom
and i can't "live" without it , the 1.4.1 rocks , and makes lots of my job really very easy

i have/had(i guess there will not more update for the 1.x version) a free update for lightroom 1.x

well i installed the trial version of lightroom 2 , i like it , but i have some issue i'm hesitant, indecisive to pay $99 for the updagrade
for now i can use the trial version

well i found really some features really very interesting

well , my problem

the develop sliders with the zoom ratio ->Fit are really very slow
outside my sign i have a new pc dual core , with 4gb , video card with 1 gb 4 seagate ,2 in raid ,2 in raid
i tried it on others pc and i found the same problem
i did a search and there are others users with my issue
i run lr2 under xp with last update (pack) and drivers

the program runs good the only problem are
1) the sliders only in the develop module
2) the gradient tool ,i can move it but it's jitter

the rest work great

well i don't want that lt2 is a bad program , i like it , i say this because my previous threat was closed , so i like it
i want to make an upgrade

if someone have some tips , some advises is really welcomed!

thanks to all
have a nice day

I have spent the morning playing, and i have to say i agree with you.

These sliders are like 1.'. I need to play around more but, this is not a good sign.

Slow to repond and sticky, to the point where i can change direction of the slider twice before the first movement even occurs. And, it is worse with the develop panel stretched to its fullest!?

I've dabbled with both my mouse and wacom tablet, and its about the same.....slow:o

Huh? Did I fall asleep while reading this Thread, or did I just miss something? ;)

do you use a english OS ? XP or Vista?

the funny thing is that i tried on a old pc
Hardisk slow IDE , and a p4 1gh , 512mb and run better then powerful pc

is there a way to comunicate with the developer

because outside the sticky sliders
i don't know why LT2 delete the 1.3.1 version

Sorry to hear*, but cant give help for PC. On a mac you can install both if you keep them in different folders, Maybe you have to do the same on a PC as well: move from default install folder, so it doesnt get overwritten by the next install. Hope you still have your original 1.x catalogue...good luck.

(and...talk to the developer?? There are a few in line before you if you add up all the remarks on the WWW by now -> LR2slow for example... *But overwriting an older version is well stated in the before-install-readme... sorry about that)
