Lightroom Version Number
8.4.1
Operating System
  1. macOS 10.13 High Sierra
Took photos remotely on iPhone, made edits .. they got uploaded to cloud. When I got home, they properly synced to the LR Classic (Dated Folders for originals and Collections align with Albums created in LR CC)

Q1: What is the difference in the "originals" that:

1. Are stored on the desktop Classic
2. Are stored on the desktop Cloudy version? (preferences set to save original locally)
3. Originals that could be downloaded from cloud via Download tool.

Q2: After successful download of the originals in LR Classic, what are the steps to remove the originals from the LR Cloudy (to get space back).

There is no difference. To remove the originals from the cloud and from Lightroom cloudy’s local storage, remove them from ‘All Synced Photographs’ in Lightroom Classic. They will then only remain in Lightroom Classic.
