Option to have LrC read metadata automatically from xmp sidcar or file header?

As far as I am aware there is no option presently available in LrC does anyone know of a way to have this done with a plugin or otherwise?
I am aware it does that at initial import.

What do you mean by automatically? It's read when you initially import, or if you tell LrC to read metadata. What scenario are you thinking of?

Lightroom Classic will do this on import automatically. If the metadata in the XMP differs from that in the catalog, you will get a message that the metadata is out of synch and an option to update the catalog with the metadata in the file or update the file with the metadata in the catalog. The only apps that can create XMP data that might affect the develop settings in Lightroom Classic are Adobe apps like ACR through Photoshop. After importing, Lightroom Classic does not need to use the metadata in the XMP file and should it get out of synch AND should you desire to use the metadata in the file , there is a Menu option to read metadata from the file.

I wish to know if there is a way to have Lightroom Classic automatically read metadata from file if changes are made in Bridge / Camera Raw via a plugin or otherwise.
As I said I am aware that it's not been so from inception. There has only been an option to write. Read was only a manual option.

And manual option it remains, It is not recommended to use Bridge with Lightroom Classic. Bridge is an organizational tool that preceded Lightroom. Essentially it was replaced by Lightroom (Classic) as a Data Asset Management tool.

Thanks Cletus D. Lee, for reconfirming my belief about ACR and sidecar files and how it relates with LrC.
Since adopting Lightroom in 2007, I have avoided ACR and writing to XMP in my normal workflow and no DNG.
Lots of LrC users use ACR also and keep raising weird theories in the forums.
Needed to ensure there were no changes that I was not aware off. Haven't used ACR much since it's 3.6 version now at 13.4.

Actually, you probably use ACR every day. The Same ACR engine is built into Lightroom and Lightroom Classic. The only difference between them and the standalone ACR is the user interface.

Yes, Cletus I am very aware of that, for me LrC is an alternative RAW rending application from Adobe and it will be functional whether Photoshop and ACR plugin are installed on the same computer.
