After installing Lightroom 2 I can't right click on a JPG file and open with Lightroom 2. It is not an option so from the open with box I used the browse button and mapped to the lightroom 2. exe file but it will NOT open in lightroom. This is a shortcut I have used in the past.
I can open lightroom then navigate to the JPG that I want but it is more time consuming. Am I doing something wrong?

OK, let me ask this another way... Can anyone do this?
Right click on Start, click on Explore
map to any JPG on your hard drive
Right click on JPG, open with, choose program

MAKE SURE no check mark is in the box always use the selected program to open this kind of file
Click the browse button, map to lightrrom.exe (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2\Lightroom.exe)
and the JPG opens in Lightroom 2

Mine will NOT open. I had been able to do this with Lightrrom1. I'm not sure if it isn't made to do this or something else is wrong.
Thanks in advance

bcalvary, you're correct I couldn't get that to work either.

However, here's a quick work around. I'm assuming you're on Windows, don't know what flavor. In your system:\Documents and Settings\user\ folder should be a subfolder called SendTo. Locate that. Then in system:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2\, right-click on lightroom.exe, and drag it to the ...SendTo folder, and select 'Create Shortcuts Here'. That should place a short-cut to LR2 in the SendTo folder.

Close all that. Right-click on the target JPG, to bring up the context-menu. Instead of "Open With', choose 'Send To'. Select LR2 from the pop-up menu.

That works fine on my XPProSP3. Same result, minimum clicks.
