One DAM (external) drive with LR on two computers

After lots of studying and viewing of different ways to set up my DAM I am now seeking help with my catalog and master file. Is it feasible to use LR on two laptops at different times and still be able to "see" changes on the opposite one without having to move or import the catalog? For sure there are users that have this issue. Is it more simple than I imagine? Thanks in advance.

Yep, keep your catalog and images on an external drive.

I guess what I mean is that can I have one catalog reside on each computer and access the same photos yet since it is lossless and I make changes to either "catalog" can I assume that the images will remain the same. On another note ,I would guess that virtual copies are bound only in the originating catalog. I am trying to see LR as a pair of glasses in which I view my RAW file and can amend my "glasses" via the catalog to see different results. Seems that the issue I would have is that if I moved the folder/file in on one computer that the other would have to be redirected to reconnx.

It's possible, but it's just a pain to try to keep the 2 in sync.

Thanks again Victoria. I guess I will plan for 2 catalogs and two separate computers and then store on one external with the separate master files.
