ONE-BY-ONE?????

I am a “Newbie”…..

I am using the latest version of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 2.2 – how do I modify an entire selection of photos (using “Select All”) all at the same identical time using the “Color Balance Controls”; is this possible? Or would I have to modify each photo (and I have hundreds) one by one. Please provide easy to follow step-by-step instructions.

First, the latest version is 2.4. You should upgrade, there are numerous bug fixes and performance improvements and some minor feature changes, and it's free and easy.

If you want to modify several images at the same time in the Develop module, select multiple images. Then hold down the Alt/Option key, and note that the "Sync" button in the lower right changes to "Auto Sync". Click it. Now any changes you make will be applied to all selected images. Click the Auto Sync button again to change it back to Sync.

There are numerous other ways as well, but the only one that actually changes them at the same time while working in Develop. The others involve changing one and then copying those changes to the others, or working in the Quick Develop panel in the Library module.
