I found a lot of files in the directory, that I assigned to LR classic (see attached screenshot). Which of these files are really necessary and which files can be deleted ?

The files that start with "Cache..." and "Temporary..." are the residue from a failed or canceled import. They can be removed.
The file named "Lightroom-2-2.lrcat is your currently open catalog and will be accompanied by the ".wal" and ".lock" files. These ".wal" and ".lock" files will be cleaned up by LR when you exit the app. The other "Lightroom....lrcat files appear to be old versions of your catalog file and should be moved to the Backup folder.

Further to what Cletus said, note the dates on some of those files. 2017 or 2018. When Lightroom closes, it always updates the catalog. The lrcat-2-2 catalog is the current one. The other lrcat files are left over from catalog upgrades associated with Lightroom version upgrades. You could (but don't have to) delete those older lrcat files.
