But there are people. I tried deleting Macintosh HD / Users / [your username] / Library / Application Support / Adobe / Lightroom / Preferences / Lightroom Classic CC 7 Startup Preferences.agprefs and restarting LR, but no luck. Any hints?

Hi and welcome

Just describe better what you're doing? You have grid view with people in on the screen then click the People icon at the bottom?

And have you enabled Face Detection? Catalog Settings>Metadata tab.

And what source have you selected? If you have selected a single sub-folder or collection which doesn't have any faces, you'll get "No people found". Start with All Photographs as the source.

I've selected a Collection and in grid view while in the Library module. I get No People Found. There are people in the Collection. When I go to Folders, Library Module Grid view, I select a Folder (where parts of that Collection comes from) and the Face recognition works. (Finds People). I can make it work when selecting a Folder but not when I select a Collection. I can work with it this way

It should work with collections as well as folders, so I wonder if the initial face-tagging hasn't completed. Check in the Activity Centre that Face Detection isn't paused (click on the down arrow that appears when you hover over the ID plate area).
