no import dialogue box

hi folks,

lately, when i import photos, i do not get an import box. i have the option set for it to open. and sometimes i can get LR to open one, but after i close the app, i don't get it anymore. any ideas?

XP Pro, LR 1.4.1, canon xti

Are you importing images directly from the camera or from a card reader? What happens if you import directly off the hard drive?

i am importing from a card reader. i'll try it from the hard drive.

ok, so if i turn off apdproxy.exe and try to import from either the card or from a hard drive, i get the dialogue box. when i use apdproxy, that's when I get no dialogue box. it just imports the pictures with the last keywords i used.

I don't believe it'll hurt anything to leave adproxy.exe uninstalled. I don't think it's used any more with current Adobe software.

yeah, i guess. i do like the ease of just throwing in a card and having it all pop up. oh well. thanks for the help folks
