NO Camera Profiles in LR2.2 WHY?

Howdy:
I upgraded to LR 2.2 but cant find the camera profiles on the camera calibration Panel. Why?

Just to second --

The camera profiles disappeared after the upgrade, both the mac and pc versions.

What IS is the camera calibration panel Don?

Don't forget that it will only show 'Embedded' for jpeg/tiff/psd, as that trips most of us up at some time or other.

Or have they actually gone walkabout?

Shooting in the dark here, but a file edited in Photoshop then saved back to Lightroom will be unable to use camera calibration settings... So if you do use Photoshop, make your calibration selection before exporting. Also, I received some Canon tif files on a CD and they would not access camera calibration either. (They may have been edited in Photoshop???) I have had no trouble with files taken directly from the card.

Rereading your post in earlier in the thread I see it is a typo you have made with "What IS is the camera calibration panel Don?"
I think you mean "what is in"??????:lol::lol::lol:;):shock:

opps!

Sorry, I think that my brain is disconnected sometimes, I was in the develop mod, but the files were converted to dng on import. Not thinking things thru, got myself.

Art, DNG should have profiles available in the "calibration" panel as they are raw files.

Okay, now I'm confused. In the develop mod, camera cal tab, the profiles listed are acr 4.4, acr 3.6, abobe camera standard etc. Nothing camera specific. I thought the Nikon d8' showed up in v2.1.

Art the profiles such as camera standard are specific to each camera, they are just not named specifically, that is all.

Thanks Geoff, now I'm confused and stupid. My getting back into photography was supposed to be for stress relief - had quad bypass earlier this year - , it just seems like I'm spending more time with the software then with the camera. Not a working pro, just do it for myself. Maybe too many new things at once, camera, computer and software! Sometimes can be very frustrating - so much for stress relief.

The profiles are camera specific but not named for each camera, however LR automatically applies the ones to match the camera of each file.
