Anyone know where I can get a Nikon D3S codec for Lightroom 3 to allow import of NEF raw files from this camera ?

Not quite as simple as that, sorry. Adobe have to backwards engineer to write the code for it, and LR is updated each time a new batch of cameras comes out - about every 3 months usually.

omg - but I need it now ! Maybe LR 2.5 will get the update first then ?
I just discovered by accident that Picasa can read the D3S NEF files. It doesn´t quite have the same functionality as Lightroom however... :-( I must say the JPG´s straight from the camera are pretty good however !

Yup - I just installed LR 2.6 RC and can confirm it reads the D3S NEF files. Also, DNG converter 5.6 beta is able to convert the NEF´s to DNG´s which then appear to import ok into LR3 beta. I am happy again :)
