newly created DNG profile not showing up in Lr2.4

This morning I used the Adobe DNG profiler to create a new camera profile this morning and saved it in the right location:

Library > Application Support > Adobe > CameraRaw > CameraProfiles folder

on my Mac but it is not showing up in LR2.4 -- which I had previously downloaded and installed this morning.

The odd thing is that a profile I created last night did show up in Lr 2.3 and still shows up in Lr2.4

Any ideas?

figured it out with the help of a friend. I was saving the recipe not exporting the profile. All is good now.

What I'd like to know now is why there are such extreme differences between Adobe's profiles for a camera and a custom made ones made under carefully controlled circumstances.

How does Adobe make the camera profiles?

I have no idea how Adobe makes their profiles, you may want to ask that on the Adobe DNG forum.

I have asked my contacts at Adobe but the DNG forums seem a good bet as well. Thanks for the suggestion Geoff.
