Newbiew: Print Paper Type Missing.

I have recently bought the Epson R24'' and installed the Ilford Galerie .ICC files for a couple of their papers. I can select them in the profile section of Lightroom but when I go to print I only see the original Epson Paper types.

Should the install of Galerie .icc files have added the new paper types to the drop down or is there something I have not done?

Nothing but Epson's profiles show up in the printer dialog. You might check Ilford's website or see if they included any instructions about what settings to use in their packaging.

Thank's but the pdf that came with the profile implies I should see "Watercolor Paper - Radiant White"

Thats one of the Epson paper profiles. It should be installed with the Epson drivers.

Mike, on OSX/R18'' printer I have always only had the basics show up in the print box. My understanding is I just use the type closest in surface as it is to determine the ink quantity used not the colour.
I may be wrong in my thinking though !!:lol::lol:

Most third party paper manufacturers suggest certain settings for using their paper, and it's not always what you would think(though it is usually close).

So I went here:

and downloaded the "Fine Art Papers" icc which has the appropriate Paper, ran the exe which said it would install the profiles .
Unfortunately I still have the default set of paper types even after a reboot.

Having decided to try the MK ink I ended up turning the printer off and when I turned it back on I could now see the other paper types.

That might be your problem.The driver may not show paper types that are not supported by the ink set that you have installed.
