Hello from South Carolina. I'm a relatively new member of the Forum but I've gotten some good information about Lightroom by viewing multiple posts. I've used LR 1.4 for a brief period but decided to upgrade to 2.1 when the final version was released. The upgrade went smoothly but now I have 2 versions of LR on my computer. I'm satisfied that 2.1 is solid and want to remove 1.4. Should I go to Windows uninstall and remove it? Is the former 1.4 catalog now redundant or is 2.1 using it? Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There are no problems in uninstalling LR1.4, I can't tell you how to do that though!!
Also you old catalog will be redundant so can be trashed, First check that your LR2 catalog is working as expected and is backed up.

Yes, straight uninstall should do fine Robert, and welcome to the forum! Personally I'd zip up your old catalog - they compress very well - and keep it until you're absolutely sure the upgrade went perfectly.
