New Imported Images - Auto Applied Tungsten WB problem

Hi,
Wondering if anyone can help. Im shooting RAW on my Canon D4''

Ive got a problem when importing new images - they all get the white balance automatically set to Tungsten. Some images were shot on Auto WB, some I specified a setting eg Daylight - but they all seem to get changed upon import.

Ive checked in LR and here are a couple of settings:

1. Preferences > Presets > 'Apply auto tone adjustments' is unticked.
2. When importing images, the importer dialogue: 'Develop Settings' are set to 'none'

Ive also loaded some test images into Adobe Bridge and have the same problem there.

An image I shot on 'Daylight' WB - the camera EXIF under WB states 'Manual' and looked ok on the importer preview thumb (although i guess this is a preview jpg). Then I open it in Camera RAW and the WB is set to Tungsten.

You've reset Lightroom's defaults for that camera to include the Tungsten white balance. Here's how to fix:

1. Select an example image and go into Develop.
2. Press the "Reset" button in the lower right.
3. Change the white balance to As Shot.
4. Press and hold the Alt/Option key. As you do the Reset button will change to "Set Default..." Press it.

Now any newly imported images will get As Shot instead of Tungsten.

To reset the ones you've already imported, select them all in Grid and change them to As Shot in the Quick Develop panel.

thank you - that certainly did fix the problem.

It wasn't too much of a problem as Im not taking a lots of photos at the moment.... but today it annoyed me enough to ask. Glad I did :mrgreen:
