Morning all and a Happy New Year.
Using LRC. Store all my photos on an external HD by Year ,Month, Date.
On my HD I created a new folder , 2022 with the months.
LR shows all the previous years but is not showing 2022.
When I import a photo it shows it below 2021 . as 2022-01-01.
Does not show 2022 and below that January as it is set up on the external HD.
On top right of screen it shows the correct naming of the destination .
Also says destination is not available.
What am I doing wrong ?
Thanks.

There is (was) no reason to create that folder yourself. Lightroom will do it when you import images shot this year. Make sure you select the correct destination folder in the import dialog, however. That is a common mistake that can create the dated hierarchy in the wrong folder tree. Sounds like that is exactly what you did: you selected ‘2021’ while you should have selected its parent folder.
