With one external drive filling up, I now want to transfer my future images to a second external drive. When I plug that second drive in Lightroom does not "see" it - it does not show up on the Folders panel - probably because there are no images on it. I know there is something I need to do but I can't figure it out, can anyone help ?

Lightroom Classic will only show drives and folders in the Library folders sections if you have actually imported image files to the Catalog. You will need to start an import process, so for example you could select an SD card as the source in the left select to Copy then in right panel select the new drive as the destination and proceed to create a folder to copy the images to.

Page 441 in your Classic book details the options. Don't re-import them, you'll lose the edits.
