New Exif Data fields to Display in Lightroom

It would be nice if Adobe would allow you to display the following directly in Lightroom.


Focal point chosen
Metering Mode
Exposure Compensation Values
Flash data (Did or didn't the flash fire)
Shooting Mode (i.e. Manual, Av, Tv, P, etc)

In the Library module and in the right panel, is the word "All" showing to the left of "Metadata"?...

I can't see that LR shows any Flash Exposure Compensation information (showing "All"). It's certainly recorded with the Photo, as the camera (Canon 5DMII, in this case) shows with the "info." Is it not part of the defined set of EXIF data? Or is it just something that Adobe doesn't use, as of yet?

[/quote]There is a Section of the EXIF reserved for Manufacturer Notes. These do not follow a standard format from Manufacturer to Manufacturer and I think there is where your 'missing data' resides. Applications like EXIFTool and PhotoMe go to considerable length to provide these Mfg Notes in a human readable form. AFAIK, Adoble does not make this same effort. I would like to see whether Shake Reduction was on and Dynamic Range Expansion, but these are in my Mfg notes and Adobe won't share it. To filter all my Macro Shots, I would also like to see "SubjectDistanceRange" which is in the Standard EXIF but Adobe does not show that either.

[/quote]I think you are confusing Exposure Bias (sometimes called Exposure Compensaton) with Flash Exposure Compensation

No, I was just showing the OP where they can find the EXIF data and that it (In my case) shows whether the FLASH fired or not which was one of the pieces of data they wanted. It doesn't show flash compensation of a whole host of data that is collected but that has been addressed above.

With EXIF data changing rapidly, fast and often I found only 1 prgm that covers that and is updated very regurarly.
