Is there a 'clear previous settings' when using the brush or the gradient tool in Lightroom 3?

Rose

Rose,

I don't have LR 3 Beta in front of me right now, but in LR 2.5 you just select the Adjustment Brush or Graduated Filter and hit Reset. This clears all control points in eihter tool.

Edit:
Same in LR 3 Beta.

The actual numerical settings do not revert to zero if either of the effect icons are selected and pressing Reset on my Version 2.5 or in the Beta 3

It would be time saving to have the number input revert to zero when pressing reset.

Oh sorry, I completely missunderstood your question. I thought you were asking for clearing previously applied corrections using Adjustment Brush or Graduated Filter.

To reset the values of the sliders I have made myself a preset (Effect) called $Reset, which has all values (including color!) set to '. I feel the "remembering" of previous values is especially annoying for the color, as this is easily overlooked ...

Hold down Alt (PC) or Opt (Mac) and the word Effect: will change to Reset: (where the pull down list of brushes/gradiants is) Click the Reset:

Wow, nice goodie :) This is not implemented in LR 2.5, right?

Hello Rikk,
That key combo did the trick! (in Version 3 beta)

Beat: It does not appear to apply to v2.5
