Need input on correcting an image

Hi all,

I received an image from a client that they would like to use in an advertisement and it's a bit more challenging to color correct than I am accustomed to.

The image was shot at ISO 8'', it is super saturated and heavy in the red and green channels, and the original image is a JPG from a D4'. Can anyone give me any pointers on where you would start?

I'm using a Mac with Lightroom 1.4.1 to edit the image. I will be proofing with my Epson 76''.

I'm hoping to remove some of the heavy pink cast and make the colors a bit more natural. The sofas were white and the pillows on the sofas were pink, eggplant and orange in color.

When I look at the levels of the individual channels the blue and green are both skewed heavily towards the black side. Yet when I try to adjust the white point on either of those channels the results look horrible.

Welcome to the forums cre8tive1.

I tryed my best on it but saddly enough, this JPEG is ruined from start! Anything done will make it worse. I can get an acceptable color balance but then, the reflections in the back curtain at left come so much green! Beurk!
