Lightroom Version Number
Classic 9.2.1
Operating System
  1. Windows 10
I am using Lightroom Classic subscription. Not using Cloud. I want to merge two catalogs. Both of the catalogs are using Lighroom Classic 9.2.1. Both catalogs are on the same PC (Windows 10)

I have two catalogs. One somehow ended up on OneDrive. A mystery to me. I would like to do two things: 1. Merge the two catalogs and 2. move the catalog from C: to D: drive.
The catalogs are: C:\Users\rica\OneDrive\Documents\Pictures\Lightroom\Lightroom Catalog.Ircat
C:\Users\richa\Pictures\Lightroom\Lightroom Catalog.Ircat

There is not much in either of these catalogs, as I am on a relatively new PC (Windows 10). I hove no reason to have two catalogs. I guess one was created out of my carelessness.

I would not mind deleting both catalogs and starting over, designating D: drive as the location of the catalog.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Based on the 2 folders name, it looks like your C:\Users\richa\Pictures is synchronized to Onedrive, so these 2 catalogs should be identical.
You can verify this by opening each catalog separately.

If it's the case, there is no need to merge the catalogs.

To move your catalog to the D drive, you simply copy the C:\Users\richa\Pictures\Lightroom folder to the D drive. Once the copy is finished, yopuo should have the .lrcat file and all its associated folders in the Lightroom folder on the D drive. Open the catalog from the D drive and verify everything is OK. Once verified, do a backup, then you can remove the catalog from the C drive (it should automatically be removed from Onedrive)

Thanks for your reply.
When I go to C:Users\richa\Pictures\Lightroom I see the Lightroom folder, inside of which are 6 items : Backups, Lightroom Catalog Helper.Irdata, Lighroom Catalog Previews.Irdata Lightroom Catalog; Temporary Import Data, and Temporary Import Data.ab-wal.

Is it the mail Lighroom folder (bold underlined above) that I copy to D: drive?

Thanks much. I followed your directions. All went well. I really do appreciate your help.
