Hi --

My LR original files are stored on a Windows Home Server (network share) titled [Network Share]/Original Photos. My LR catalog accurately reflects folders and files imported from that share.

Unfortunately, for a period of time, when importing new folders from my flash cards, I instructed LR to import them to [Network Name]/original Photos -- i.e the right name, spelling and spacing but a lower case 'o' rather than an upper case 'O'. The result is that all the new folders reside in one folder on the Server but are considered two separate drives in the LR catalog. The photos in the "incorrect" are RAW and have been extensively edited.

My problem is that I would like to combine the LR Drives (for searching, etc) and I am unable to use any of the Move commands in LR to correct my mistake. I am able to initiate a Move with LR, but the action fails since the underlying server files are already in the same folder.

My question: Does anyone have a suggestion how to combine the two drives in the catalog under these conditions?

Thanks in advance for the help -- and glad to clarify or experiment.

Ken

Thanks for the quick and very helpful response. Your instructions are very clear, but bear with me while I clarify a few unspoken points:

Point 3: TEMP folder showing -- means showing as Network Share in the LR Catalog
Points 4-8: All steps in LR

First, second and last steps in the OS (Windows Explorer)
TEMP folder showing in Lightroom same as Original and original Photos do and at same level.
Location of the TEMP folder is not very important as long as it is created on the same drive as O/original Photos. Otherwise, files will have to be copied from drive to drive...
