Need help cleaning up my cloud account

I don't use the LR app on my iPhone much. I use LrC as my main catalog and editor. So, everything that follows is what I think. If you see something that is likely wrong, please correct me.

I have LR on my phone set up so that it copies my camera roll to LR cloud. These images are presented to me in a separate directory on my Mac "From iOS/year/date/..." I go into LrC and either delete those photos or move them to my main directory (called "LR Local"). I do this via the LrC GUI -- not externally via Finder or Terminal. The reason is the photos copied from my phone consume space in Lightroom's cloud while images synced from LrC do not. (Is that correct?) I think I have copied or deleted everything in the cloud that consumes space but how can I tell? The reason I want to know is because if there are images in LR's cloud that are not in my master catalog, they represent images that I've misplaced or forgotten and I'd like to find them and get them properly organized.

What is confusing is when I delete or move images from the "From iOS" to the "LR Local" directory, they still appear in the app on the iPhone as well as in the lightroom.adobe.com web site. Currently I am consuming 1.8G of space but I think that is all taken up from files that my son has stored on my account but I don't know how to tell what is really taking up space and what is just synced with LrC.

I'm using all the latest software: LrC 15.3.1, iOS 26, and whatever LR app the app store sends me (automatic updates turned on).

Let's just consider what is in the Adobe Cloud. Under the old Photography plan you got 20GB. The current plan (unless you were grandfathered) is now 1TB. Images that you sync from a Mobile device are full size images and consume part of your subscription plan storage. Images that you originate in Lightroom Classic are sent as smart DNGs to the Adobe Cloud and do not consume any of your subscription plan storage.

Images that at are in the Adobe Cloud that came from Lightroom (desktop.mobile) sync down to Classic as full size images. Classic shows these in the All synced photographs special collection AND in a Collection that is set to sync with the Adobe Cloud. They will reside in a folder in your file system. This folder is specified in Preferences. The default is a GUID named folder as you describe or a folder designated by you in Preferences (as I have in my screen Shot)

If you delete an image from Classic, you must not only remove it from Lightroom but also delete it from the filesystem folder.

If you delete the file from disk, it is removed from Classic AND from the Adobe Cloud . When an image is deleted from the Adobe Cloud, it is not deleted immediately, but instead placed in an. album named "Deleted" for 30days before it is permanently deleted

If you want to see what is stored in the Creative Cloud that is not part of the Adobe Cloud, open the Creative cloud app and click on {Files}
