Since I was struggling finding the best way to organize my keywords, I thought I'd share what I came up with (at a top level).
My major groupings are Who What Where, and How
"Who" has friends (clubs, school...), family (including pets...), celebrities (athletes, astronauts...), etc
"Where" is continents, regions (e.g. Mediterranean) countries, cities, landmarks
"What" are subject material like airplanes, nature (animals, weather phenomena...), sports, events
"How" marks the style of photo; HDR, Pano, cityscape, landscape, night shot, B&W, Portrait, sunrise/sunset, Wildlife.
When would be a natural category that fits the journalistic style I chose, but the pictures are already tagged with the time so...
The top levels are marked to not include during export.
Just thought I'd share...since multiple keywords can be use on any given picture this seems to work well for me.
