• Welcome to the Lightroom Queen Forums! We're a friendly bunch, so please feel free to register and join in the conversation. If you're not familiar with forums, you'll find step by step instructions on how to post your first thread under Help at the bottom of the page. You're also welcome to download our free Lightroom Quick Start eBooks and explore our other FAQ resources.
  • Are you ever disappointed with your photos? Do you get frustrated when you’re editing because you’ve been told to move certain sliders, but never been told WHY? Do you wish you could transform your photos without having to spend hours in front of the computer? In my new book, Adobe Lightroom CC - Edit Like a Pro, you’ll learn:
    • how to to analyze a photo like a pro, saving you hours of frustration.
    • WHY you might want to move specific sliders, instead of just following recipes.
    • what the sliders are doing behind the scenes.
    • how to use sliders together, instead of in isolation, so you can get the optimal result
The book is based on the cloud-native Lightroom CC desktop and mobile apps, but the principles also apply to Lightroom 6 and Lightroom Classic. The sliders are arranged into slightly different panels, but there's an included PDF that shows you where to find them in Lightroom Classic/6.
  • The February 2020 Lightroom updates are now available. Lightroom Classic has a brand new Defaults system, the ability to set a specific monitor for the secondary window and PSB format support. Lightroom (cloud-based service) has the ability to import presets on Android, DNG export and Split View support on iPadOS. The Missing FAQ and Edit Like a Pro eBooks are already updated for the changes.

I am loading images (jpeg from a canon DSLR) and some from my Wife's Panasonic MDC LF1.

Mine (1st SShot) are always same size.

Hers (2nd SShot) are mixed as seen from the attached screen shots.

What am I doing wrong or needs to be changed - maybe even a setting in the Panasonic camera.

Thanks for any and all INPUT

Thank

That is indeed a setting in her camera. Sometimes she selected a very small image size.
There is also a crop option in the camera the default aspect ratio is 3:2 Some cameras allow for a setting of 16:9, 4:3 ,1:1 of some other standard. Aspect ratio.
What Johan is referring to is the “quality” setting of the camera. “Fine is the highest quality and RAW is preferred if you are planning to process in Lightroom instead of in the camera. There is also an option to shoot both RAW and some quality setting of JPEG
